Water main repair planned for East Welling Thursday

by Community Contributor
water flows from the tap to sink

The Pennington Borough Public Works Department will be repairing a broken water main in front of #32 East Welling Avenue on Thursday January 26, 2023. This leak was found during our annual Leak Detection Survey. The projected time to allow for this repair is from 7am until 3pm.  Please understand this repair may take longer should the situation call for it.

During this time it MAY become necessary to shut the water main down, turning the water off to the residents of East Welling Avenue, for a period of time, between South Main Street and Baldwin Street.

When the repair is complete and the water is restored you may experience fluctuations in pressure and notice cloudiness and/or discoloration.  If this is the case, please allow the water to run from your taps for a few moments to allow for this to pass through the system.  IT IS NOT HARMFUL as it is only sedimentation.

If you have any questions, contact the Public Works Department at 609-737-9440 / [email protected] / [email protected]

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we attend to this matter.
