Winter weather predicted for Monday

by Amie Rukenstein

Buy some salt and polish up your snowshovel, a snowstorm is forecast for our area on Monday. Accuweather is predicting that snow should start here around 1pm Monday and continue into Tuesday leaving 3-6 inches of snow in its wake. Accuweather predicts that we will see the edge of a nor’easter that may leave 12-18 inches along the I-81 corridor from Maryland to western New York state.

Weather NJ.com concurs with the forecast stating that very cold temperatures this weekend will set the stage for snow to accumulate at the beginning of the storm, but notes that it may turn to rain later on Monday, with ultimate accumulations dependent on whether we get snow or rain on Monday.
