The Hopewell Township community gathered at Woolsey Park today for the bandshell dedication honoring first responders and celebrating cultural diversity. Township Mayor Courtney Peters-Manning and members of the Committee welcomed guests for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. along with dignitaries including Assemblyman Anthony Verrelli, Mercer County Executive Dan Benson, and County Commissioner Kristin McLaughlin.
First responders from Hopewell Valley attended in uniform, and a flag salute was held under clear, beautiful skies. The ceremony officially marked the bandshell’s dedication.
Mayor Peters-Manning presented the 2024 Mayor’s Awards to the following for their outstanding service:
- Hopewell Township Public Works: David Guerard, Assistant Director of Public Works
- Hopewell Township Police Department, Officer Michael Crincoli
- Union Fire & Rescue Squad: President Peter Swanson
- Hopewell Valley Emergency Services: Emergency Services Specialist John Schafer
