Travelers flying out of Trenton-Mercer Airport will soon have more destinations to choose from as Breeze Airways launches service from Mercer County this fall, adding four routes and expanding the airport’s growing list of nonstop and one-stop travel options.

Beginning in September, Breeze will offer nonstop flights from Trenton to Charleston, South Carolina, and Vero Beach, Florida, along with one-stop BreezeThru service to Fort Lauderdale, Florida that allows passengers to remain on the same aircraft without changing planes. Nonstop service to Fort Myers, Florida, will begin in January 2027.
The new routes mark another step in the growth of Trenton-Mercer Airport, which has expanded its commercial service in recent years while positioning itself as an alternative to larger, more congested airports in the region. Charleston also becomes one of the airport’s few regularly scheduled nonstop destinations outside of Florida in recent years.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways as our newest airline at Trenton-Mercer Airport, with nonstop flights to three destinations launching in the next six months,” Mercer County Executive Dan Benson said.
“TTN offers the easiest air-travel experience in our region and we’re proud to keep expanding travelers’ options with affordable flights to even more locations, including the return of a non-stop destination outside of Florida. We look forward to continuing to build on our relationship with Breeze in the months and years ahead.”

The new service includes:
- Charleston, South Carolina — Nonstop service on Thursdays and Sundays beginning Sept. 20, with introductory fares starting at $59 one way.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida — One-stop BreezeThru service on Thursdays and Sundays beginning Sept. 20.
- Vero Beach, Florida — Nonstop service beginning Sept. 30 on Wednesdays and Saturdays before shifting to Thursdays and Sundays beginning Jan. 7, with fares starting at $89 one way.
- Fort Myers, Florida — Nonstop service beginning Jan. 8 on Mondays and Fridays, with introductory fares starting at $89 one way.
Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman said the airline views Trenton as another opportunity to expand service between underserved markets.
“We’re excited to be expanding our footprint in the state of New Jersey with the addition of Trenton to our network,” Neeleman said. “With four great destinations we know our guests will love the convenience, affordability and high value we offer.”
Founded in 2021, Breeze specializes in connecting secondary airports with nonstop and limited-stop routes that are often underserved by larger carriers. The airline now operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes serving 91 cities across the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean using a fleet of Airbus A220-300 and Embraer aircraft. The carrier has been recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of the nation’s top domestic airlines for four consecutive years and was recently named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies of 2026.
For Mercer County travelers, this continues the evolution of Trenton-Mercer Airport as a regional airport offering an expanding mix of leisure destinations without the congestion often associated with larger airports in Newark, Philadelphia or New York.
Flights are available for booking now through Breeze Airways, with service beginning in September and continuing to expand into early 2027.
