On Monday, March 20, the winners of Hopewell Township’s 2022 Photo Contest were invited to attend the Township Committee meeting to be congratulated by Mayor Michael Ruger and the Committee and to see the display of their pictures. Their winning images had been printed in large format and hung on the walls of the Municipal Building auditorium, to be displayed throughout 2023, in addition to being printed in the 2023 Municipal Calendar, Scenes of Hopewell Township 2023. Mayor Ruger delivered a proclamation, and a copy was given to each photographer.
In 2022, the Township conducted a photo contest, with the intention of including photographs of scenes of the Township in the annual municipal calendar and to be displayed as a gallery in the Township Municipal Building. After a public vote, 15 pictures of Hopewell Township were chosen from among the 119 images submitted.
“The photo contest was a fun way for the residents of the Township to show both their creativity and love for their hometown,” said Reba Holley, Hopewell Township Communications and Outreach Manager, who administered the contest. “The winners were delighted to be recognized and to have their pictures brighten up the Auditorium. I hope everyone will enter the contest for 2023.”
The public is invited to stop by the Hopewell Township Municipal Building during regular business hours or in the evening during meetings to view the display. More information about the 2023 Photo Contest can be found at www.hopewelltwp.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1152.
