Edited 4/18:

Due to multiple community activities occurring on Saturday, May 6, a decision was made to reschedule the concert to Saturday, June 3.

On Saturday, May 6, the Titusville Presbyterian Church presents Civil War era artists Libby Prison Minstrels for a two-hour musical concert beginning at 6:30pm.

Libby Prison Minstrels offer history and education through music and have entertained audiences since the early 1990’s. They have programs of the Civil War era with a brief history behind a few of the songs written by Steven Foster, Dan Emmit, and a number of other period composers of the 19th Century.

Their music programs include Americana, WWI and WWII era with popular tunes of wartime, and also period Railroad and Maritime songs. They specialize in Patriotic tunes from the past and present that symbolize our Great Nation. They have performed shows at Burlington and Ocean County Libraries for Memorial Day, 4th of July, Flag Day, and Veterans Day.

Libby Prison Minstrels also have performed in Washington DC at the Capital and Fords Theatre, and in Port Norris, NJ on board New Jersey’s tall ship, the A.J Meerwald while sailing. They have played in Gettysburg for their annual Music Muster and provided the live music for the Gettysburg Annual Ball.

June of 2021 marked their sixth invite to Citizen’s Bank Arena in Philadelphia to sing the National Anthem for the Phillies games. They have ventured as far as Dover, DE, Maryland, and Williamsburg, VA. to perform. You can visit them on Facebook at, “Libby Prison Minstrels” for past and upcoming events.

Cost of the concert is $15 if pre-registered and $20 at the door. Family pricing is available. For more information, please call the church office at (609) 737-1385 or visit www.titusvillechurch.org.
