According to the Hopewell Township Police Department, on August 24, 2016, a driver operating a 2009 Nissan Versa, was traveling Route 654 eastbound in Hopewell Township, just east of Route 612. The driver, Beverly Moore, of Hopewell, NJ, crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a westbound 2016 Honda HR-V driven by Alison Hamzik, of Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. Moore was extricated from the vehicle by Hopewell Fire Department personnel and was transported to a local hospital by Hopewell Rescue Squad personnel for minor injuries. Ms. Hamzik refused medical attention.
Ms. Moore was issued a summons for failure to maintain lane which will be heard in municipal court.
