A nine year resident of Hopewell, Lori is excited to be a contributing writer at MercerMe. "It is deeply meaningful to have the opportunity to bring share information, voices, and stories that will deepen our connectivity as a community! I am thrilled to be a part of this MercerMe."
While I hold many different roles, my biggest responsibility and joy is being a mom. Professionally, I am a writer and editor whose bylines cover a variety of subjects including yoga, mental health and wellness, visual arts, landscape design and planning. In addition to writing, I am teaching at Mercer County Community College in the Language Arts Department and "loving every minute of it!" I am grateful for the work that I am doing and to the people who have opened up opportunities to me throughout my life.
Besides working, I am happiest when outside exploring and taking in nature's wisdom and beauty. After a very serious injury a few years ago that changed my abilities, I've become more aware of taking in each day as a gift. A cup of coffee, some poetry, and time spent cultivating compassion are essential elements to the day!
