County to resurface section of Pennington-Harbourton Road

Due to deteriorated pavement surface conditions, Pennington-Harbourton Road (County Route 623) between Bear Tavern Road and Scotch Road in Hopewell Township is scheduled for milling and resurfacing by the Mercer County Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. Work is expected to begin Monday, August 10, with an anticipated completion time of approximately three weeks, weather permitting.

During construction, Pennington-Harbourton Road will be closed to through traffic from 9am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. During this time, motorists will be directed to use Bear Tavern Road, Pennington-Titusville Road and Scotch Road. However, access will be permitted for local residents, and municipal and emergency vehicles. Normal traffic patterns will resume all other times.
