Unemployed and underemployed women from throughout Central New Jersey can now select a complimentary outfit for an upcoming interview, receive help with the job search process, get pre-interview coaching, and attend monthly support meetings—all from Dress for Success of Central New Jersey, formerly known as Dress for Success of Mercer County.
Dress for Success of Mercer County has been around since 2007, when Bristol-Myers Squibb provided $50,000 of seed money to launch the nonprofit. Since then, the non-profit has impacted the lives of more than 6,000 women and girls. Agencies in surrounding counties regularly seek assistance with programs for women in other counties, and now Dress for Success of Mercer County has officially changed its name to Dress for Success of Central New Jersey to more adequately describe their service area.
“We are responding to a demonstrated need for workforce development in surrounding areas, and have ramped up our programs to serve women and girls in seven counties in Central New Jersey,” said Melissa Tenzer, executive director of Dress for Success of Central New Jersey.
Agencies throughout Central New Jersey can contact Dress for Success of Central New Jersey for information about offering the programs to their clients. Dress for Success of Central New Jersey is located in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Their phone number is (609) 896-4112. Their website address is http://Mercercounty.dressforsuccess.org.
