The Blawenburg Band will perform its summer series in Hopewell Borough on Monday evenings from 7 to 9pm on June 24, July 15, and July 29 at Hopewell Borough “Gazebo” Park. (rain date: 8/5) The event is hosted by Hopewell Borough Recreation.
About the band: The Blawenburg Band, established in 1890, is one of the oldest community bands in the state and is among the most active, playing about 20-25 concerts a year at holiday parades, community celebrations, church socials, and several nursing homes and retirement centers in the area. In recent years, some of the more noteworthy performances of the Band include opening day concerts for the Summer Music Series at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, the summer outdoor music series at the Historic Hopewell New Jersey Train Station, the Support the Troops Concert at the New Jersey National Guard Armory in Lawrenceville, and for over 20 years, the Fourth of July celebrations in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
