Voices Chorale NJ is an auditioned intergenerational chorus with members from throughout central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. Under the direction of Dr. David A. McConnell, who assumed leadership in August of 2018, Voices Chorale NJ performed concerts in 2018 and 2019 and then again in 2021 and 2022. Dr. Lyn Ransom founded Voices in 1987. Voices Chorale NJ carries that legacy forward with its mission to inspire audiences with outstanding music, performance opportunities for skilled singers, and musical education opportunities for youth and adults.

Dr. David A. McConnell, Artistic Director of Voices Chorale NJ, founded Vox Philia in 2012, a chamber choir comprised of professional and gifted amateur singers, and co-founded the Berks Sinfonietta chamber orchestra in 2014, both of which feature an intergenerational approach. Dr. McConnell teaches music courses at Pennsylvania State University, Berks Campus, and Alvernia University in Reading, PA. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Will Todd, English composer, and pianist, composes for choral works large and small, opera, musical theater, orchestral works, jazz, and chamber works. His anthem, The Call of Wisdom, was performed at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration with a TV audience of 45 million people. His arrangement of Amazing Grace was performed at President Obama’s Inauguration Day prayer service in 2013 and as part of Nelson Mandela’s’ Thanksgiving Service. Todd’s music is regularly broadcast on Classic FM, and on BBC Radio 3. More about Todd at https://willtodd.co.uk/composer/
