Experience Hopewell Township’s First Restaurant Week

by Letter to the Editor

To The Editor:

There is no shortage of great food in the Hopewell Valley, and starting April 13, there will be no better time to explore it.

Hopewell Township is proud to announce our first annual Restaurant Week, running April 13 through April 19, 2026. The event is part of our broader America 250 celebrations, a milestone with particular resonance here where George Washington crossed the Delaware and helped turn the tide of a revolution. This year, we honor that legacy by coming together around something every generation has shared: a good meal.

Throughout the week, participating restaurants will roll out special menus, featured dishes, and promotions created exclusively for the occasion. Whether you are a longtime regular or walking through the door for the first time, there is plenty of reason to go out more than once.

Thirteen restaurants have signed on so far, including Antimo’s Italian Kitchen, Aunt Chubby’s Luncheonette, Boro Restaurant & Bar, Brick Farm Tavern, Hopewell Valley Vineyards, The Italian Table, Nomad Pizza, Patriot’s Crossing Tavern, The Peasant Grill, Piccolo Trattoria, Pru Thai, Sumo Sushi, and Vito’s Pizza, with more joining each day.

A special thank you to the Township’s Tourism & Economic Development Advisory Committee, whose volunteers put in significant work to make this week a reality.

Why Dining Local Matters More Than You Might Think

Our restaurants are where neighbors gather, families celebrate, and visitors discover the warmth of Hopewell Valley. Restaurant Week is a deliberate effort to shine a light on those businesses and give residents a compelling reason to show up. The connection between where you spend your dinner dollars and the health of your community is more direct than most people realize. Small businesses employ more than half of the American workforce and are a driving force in the economy. Supporting them has a meaningful impact right here at home.

Come with the family, make it a date night, or use the week as an excuse to finally try the restaurant that has been on your list for months. I am looking forward to eating my way through the week and hope to see you out there. Put April 13 to 19, 2026 on your calendar now, and come hungry.

Full details, including the complete list of participating restaurants and their special menus, are available at www.hopewelltwp.org/818/Restaurant-Week-2026. Restaurant owners interested in joining can reach out through that page or by emailing [email protected].

Sincerely,

David Chait
