Hopewell Borough Planning Board Approves Stormwater Ordinance in Brief Meeting

by Aaron Twitchell

The May meeting of the Hopewell Borough Planning Board arguably could not have been briefer. The Board swiftly approved minutes and vouchers, approved the stormwater management ordinance, and affirmed a resident’s certificate of appropriateness for renovations.

Borough planner, Joanne Slagle, reviewed the new stormwater management plan and concluded it is “not inconsistent” with the Borough’s Master Plan. The Planning Board agreed, voting unanimously to send the ordinance to the “governing body” as required by law, in this case Borough Council.

After just 15 minutes, the meeting was adjourned. The Planning Board is set to meet again on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
