Hopewell Harvest Fair Awards Grants to 22 Local Nonprofit Organizations

by Community Contributor

The Hopewell Harvest Fair Board of Trustees has awarded grants to 22 local nonprofit organizations during its annual grant ceremony, continuing a tradition of reinvesting fair proceeds back into the Hopewell Valley community.

Since its founding in 1987, the Hopewell Harvest Fair has distributed more than $200,000 in grant funding to nonprofit organizations serving the region. This year, the all-volunteer 2025 Planning Committee and support from local business sponsors made it possible to award $9,000 to community organizations.

“The Hopewell Harvest Fair is all about community,” said Scott Fulmer, president of the Hopewell Harvest Fair Board of Trustees. “On the day of the Fair, we bring thousands of residents together for a day of family fun, and the proceeds from the event are invested back into the community through our grants.”

Fulmer thanked fairgoers, sponsors, and volunteers for their support, noting the leadership of volunteer coordinator Darlene Walsh. “Our volunteers were able to engage more residents and businesses than ever, making this year’s Fair a success in every aspect,” he said.

This year’s grant recipients represent a wide range of community causes, including youth programs, the arts, education, environmental stewardship, and services for individuals with special needs. Grant recipients include:

Attitudes In Reverse; Bear Tavern PTO; Central Jersey Choral Society; D&R Greenway Land Trust; Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey; HomeFront; Hopewell Elementary School; Hopewell Public Library; Hopewell Valley Central High School; Hopewell Valley Chorus; Hopewell Valley Girl Scouts; Hopewell Valley Historical Society; Hopewell Valley Youth Collective; I Support the Girls Central/South New Jersey; PALS (Pennington Adult Living Services); Princeton Friends School; Scouting America, Troop 71 (Hopewell); Sourland Conservancy; St. Matthew’s Church Handbell Choir (Heavy Metal); The Chubby’s Project; The Hopewell Quarry/Friends of Hopewell Quarry; and Younity (formerly Womanspace).

The Hopewell Harvest Fair Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers to help plan the 2026 Fair and assist with activities, games, and contests.
