BROWN BAG LUNCHEONFriday, February 1 at Pennington Presbyterian Church, 13 South Main Street. Pennington.

Come join us to hear about the Mercer County Library System’s Caregiver Backpack Program. The program is designed to provide family caregivers with information to assist them through the process of caregiving. The program speakers will be Dana Benner, Mercer County Library System Social Media and Marketing Librarian, and Anna Van Scoyoc, Reference Librarian. Bring your sandwich. Beverage and dessert will be provided. Lunch is at 12:30pm, and the program will begin at 1pm.  All are welcome.

HEART HEALTH: Wednesday, February 20, 10am, HV Senior Center. 395 Reading Street, Pennington.

Join us as Karen Avila, the cardiovascular outcomes coordinator from Capital Health, reviews heart failure, its symptoms, questions to ask your doctor, what kinds of lifestyle changes to make if you are diagnosed with heart failure, and how to manage the symptoms by using a self-check plan and symptom tracker. Tuesday, February 5, 10am-11am. Blood Pressure/Blood Glucose screening (fasting or 2 hour post for accurate result). Senior Center, 395 Reading Street, Pennington. Bring your own machine and we can make sure it is working properly.

Tuesday, February 19, 10am – 12noon. Blood Pressure/Blood Glucose screening (fasting or 2 hour post for accurate result). Lower Level, Hopewell Township Municipal Building. Bring your own machine and we can make sure it is working properly.

Mondays and Wednesdays at 11am, Healthy Bones: Ongoing classes to build bone strength and prevent osteoporosis. Court Room, Hopewell Township Municipal Building. Space is limited. Call 537-0236 to sign up and confirm enrollment in the class.
