Hopewell Township Police Blotter: December 12, 2016

The following is information provided by the Hopewell Township Police Department:

Burglary and Theft: On 12-2-16 at 08:00, Officer James Klesney met with a victim at an apartment on Denow Rd. She stated that sometime in the past few days someone entered her apartment and stole cash and valuables valued at approximately $331.00.  The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal Mischief: On 12-2-16 at 9:00 pm, Officers Voorhees and Peterson were dispatched to the Hopewell Valley Vet Group on Rt 654 for a subject who was driving his pickup repeatedly into a trash dumpster and screaming from the vehicle.  Upon arrival they made contact with the subject.  They observed he had repeatedly struck a large garbage dumpster with his pickup truck moving it approximately 4 feet from where it was located. He was charged with criminal mischief and his case will be heard in municipal court.

Burglary and Theft: On 12-7-16, Officer Lincoln Karnoff was dispatched to a Reed Road business on the report of a theft of lawn equipment. The victim reported that sometime in the past month someone cut the lock off an outdoor storage container and stole lawn maintenance equipment worth approximately $18,300.00. The investigation is ongoing.
