At last night’s Township Committee meeting surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues, Hopewell Township welcomed four new police officers to their team.
Robert Halmi of Freehold, New Jersey, who spent the previous six years in the Army as an MP. Robert received a substantial amount of police training while in the Army, relevant to our profession, and had a distinguished career. Robert was awarded several medals and unit citations for outstanding work during his time in the Army.
Ryan Finnegan of Titusville, New Jersey. Ryan grew up in Hopewell Township and went through the Hopewell Valley School system. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Heath Administration. Ryan is also an active member of the Union Fire Company & Rescue Squad as both a firefighter and EMT.
Michael Enriquez of Lawrence Township, New Jersey. Michael went to West Windsor Plainsboro High School South and after graduation attended Mercer County Community College. Michael finished his college education at Rowan University, obtaining a Bachelors of Art degree in Law and Justice.
James Stanton of Titusville New Jersey. James also grew up in the Hopewell Valley community and went through the Hopewell Valley School system. After high school, James went to Mercer County Community College where he obtained an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently attending Rutgers University pursing his bachelor’s degree.
All of the officers are scheduled to attend the Mercer County Police Academy in the fall.
