HVCHS Sports Roundup: Bulldogs Continue Winning Ways

The Hopewell Valley Central High School Bulldogs made it a winning start to the new year, tallying victories to begin 2025 in a number of contests. Check out the highlights below:

January 10:

  • HVCS ice hockey tallied a 4-1 win over Brick Township. Brenden Riewe had three assists for the Bulldogs as they took the victory on Brick’s ice. 

January 11:

  • Ethan Rich led the boys’ basketball team with 21 points in its victory at home against a well-coached Hunterdon Central squad. The Bulldogs came out on top by a final score of 53-43.
  • HVCS girls’ basketball also took home a win, outlasting South Hunterdon to win by a final score of 33-26. Delainey Ross led the Bulldogs with 11 points. 
  • The Bulldogs were also successful on the mat, as boys’ wrestling travelled to West Windsor-Plainsboro, shutting out their opponents 80-0.
  • In the pool, the HVCS boys’ swimming squad topped Pennington 111-59, and the girls’ swimming team lost to Pennington, 95-75.
