To the Editor:
While it might reduce stress to avoid thinking about the upcoming elections, and certainly would be less tiresome to tune out the news media for a while, we all know there’s too much at stake to do that. This is true for local candidates as much as the state and national ticket.
In Hopewell Township, for example, Julie Blake’s election to the Township Committee is essential in order to maintain a thoughtful, informed, and responsive Committee that deals with issues expediently. Julie has a talent for weighing the facts and perceiving the underlying reality behind complex situations. She can decisively reach timely conclusions under pressure. We are beyond the time for timidity and delaying decisions when it comes to dealing with the challenges of development, sustainability, and finance. Please consider these points and Julie’s experience and capabilities when you head to the polls November 6.
