To the Editor:
We are writing in support of Jacquie Genovesi for the Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education. Jacquie is a long time Hopewell resident with a recent graduate and two children at the high school. Our sons have been friends since their days at Bear Tavern, where Jacquie helped run the science fair, delighting the children by bringing not only biological specimens but live animals.
As the Vice President of Education for The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and a proponent of STEAM education, Jacquie has been involved in creating quality programs for the museum and the school district of Philadelphia. Jacquie’s professional roles make her an ideal candidate to both support the continuation of the amazing curricular opportunities our district offers and to further address areas where we can always improve.
If elected, Jacquie would bring to the board her expertise in areas of education, team building, financial and strategic planning, and diversity, inclusion, and equity. Hopewell has a responsibility to build a continuously improving school system and committed board members are crucial for this.
