LTE: Voting is more important than ever

by Community Contributor

To the Editor:

I was surprised to learn that a parade of Trump-supporters in over 100 cars and pick-up trucks recently drove through Pennington and Hopewell, challenging residents and blaring their enthusiasm for the most corrupt president in American history. Make no mistake: this parade was not about winning over undecided voters: it was designed to intimidate the president’s opponents.

The event reminded me how important it is for all of us to vote in the weeks leading up to November 3. New Jersey is commonly thought to be a blue state, but with the president promising to contest any results that go against him, NJ voters can’t take anything for granted.

Vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Vote for Senator Cory Booker. Vote for Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.  Vote for the Democrats on the state and county ballot. And here in Hopewell Township, vote for Michael Ruger and Kevin Kuchinski who have helped the Hopewell Township Committee remain fiscally strong, environmentally aware, and committed to creating a more democratic community.

Sincerely,

David Blake,
Hopewell Township
