Report of Credit Card Fraud
On Dec. 17, 2025 Officer Tylor Blake was dispatched to the Hopewell Township Police Department for a walk-in report of fraud. Victim reported receiving calls from a person claiming to be from American Express regarding a firearm purchase. The investigation revealed the victim did not suffer any monetary loss but someone did order a credit card using her identity. The investigation is ongoing.
Fraudulent Charges on Credit Card Reported
On Dec. 19, 2025 Officer Arthur Juba responded to a walk-in report of fraud at the Hopewell Township Police Department. The victim reported fraudulent charges on a credit card totaling $3,312.22. Further information was provided to the officer for follow up. The incident remains under investigation.
Attempted Fraudulent Charges in Pennington
Officer Collin Brigham was dispatched to a residence in Pennington for a report of fraud on Dec. 23, 2025. The victim reported that she found that some personal items were missing since Monday 12/15, including a chase debit card. On 12/23 the victim found an attempted fraudulent charge of $3,120.00 was declined. The victim was in contact with the bank and no financial loss was incurred.
Victim Scammed on Discord
On Dec. 23, 2025 Officer Tylor Blake was dispatched to HTPD for a walk-in report of fraud. Victim reported he was scammed on Discord after a hacker impersonated a friend and demanded money to restore the account. Multiple payments were attempted totaling nearly $2,000. The only payment not recovered was $625.00. The incident remains under investigation.
Attempted Burglary at Pure Blossom
Officer Michael Enriquez was dispatched to Pure Blossom Dispensary on a reported attempted burglary on Dec. 25, 2025. Upon arrival, patrol located a damaged window and damaged electric meter box. It was later confirmed by the owners that nothing was tampered with or stolen. The incident remains under investigation.
