The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced that flagger-controlled, alternating single-lane travel will continue on the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge (“the free bridge”) on Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Motorists should expect periodic delays and are advised to reduce speeds, follow flagger instructions, and use caution while crews are present.
The restrictions allow a contractor to install steel panels beneath the roadway deck. Once in place, the panels will serve as a temporary work platform for electricians replacing short-circuiting electrical junction boxes at multiple locations across the span.
The contractor aims to complete the work before the Thanksgiving holiday. If installation remains unfinished, additional daytime restrictions may be required in early December.
All scheduled travel impacts are weather- and condition-dependent and may change without notice.
