Pennington-Rocky Hill Road Bridge Work Scheduled to Begin

by MercerMe Staff

Repair work is scheduled on the Pennington-Rocky Hill Road bridge, located between King George and Old Mill roads in Hopewell Township near the Pennington border, beginning Tuesday, February 19, 2019. The patch repairs to the bridge deck will be performed by the Mercer County Department of Transportation & Infrastructure and are expected to require three working days, weather permitting.

During the repairs, Pennington-Rocky Hill Road (County Route 624) will be closed to through traffic from 9am to 3pm. Motorists will be directed to use Federal City and Old Mill roads. However, local access will be permitted up to King George Road from the west and up to the bridge from the east.

Mercer County DOT&I will post signs prior to the start date advising motorists of the planned bridge closure. The road will be open to normal traffic at all other times.
