Police activity on Delaware Avenue

by Amie Rukenstein

Heavy police activity on Delaware Avenue in Pennington was reported on social media as it happened on the evening of Tuesday, December 20.

Pennington Police Chief Doug Pinelli and Hopewell Police Chief Jim Rosso confirmed the police presence but indicated that, because it is an ongoing investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, they could not say more.

Casey DeBlasio of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office added a few more details: “Last night, the prosecutor’s office executed a search warrant at a residence on Delaware Avenue in Pennington as part of an ongoing investigation. Unfortunately, that is all I can confirm for you at this time. I am not able to provide anymore details regarding the nature of the investigation as it is active and ongoing.  I can tell you that no arrests were made at the residence.”

MercerMe will continue to follow up with law enforcement and update this story as more information becomes available.
