Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) Hamilton welcomes new RWJUH Hamilton Foundation Board leaders and members, who assumed their new roles in January 2021, including Hopewell Borough resident and Council member Ryan Kennedy. Kennedy also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Hopewell Valley YMCA and as Vice President of the area’s land preservation and stewardship nonprofit, Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space.
Kennedy is enthusiastic about his upcoming efforts on behalf of the RWJUH.
“It’s an honor for me to join this group of business and civic leaders from across the greater Mercer region and am looking forward to continuing to help Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton with its mission here in our community,” he said. “If the last year has shown me anything, it’s that when a community comes together and rallies around our collective health, we really can make a difference. Whether its supporting nationally recognized cancer care right at the Hamilton campus, or community health programs sponsored by the Hospital with local groups like our YMCA, I know that every dollar raised by the Foundation has a direct and meaningful impact. I’m thankful for the work they are doing, and proud to play even a small part in the Foundation’s support of the region’s health.”
“As the Chairman Emeritus of the RWJ Hamilton Foundation Board, I am thrilled to welcome Ryan Kennedy to our Foundation Board, said Nina Melker, who also is a Mercer County Commissioner. She continued: “He is a past member of our Young Professionals Group, he has played a critical role in many fundraising initiatives and we are fortunate to have him bring his skills to assist us with the Foundation. I know we have built a strong Foundation Board. These changes will continue to bring us forward and help us grow.”
