Hi, everybody.  I’m Michael Ruger, Deputy Mayor of Hopewell Township.  The 2020 Census has been underway for several months and so far, 77.7% of Hopewell Township households have responded.  That’s great—it’s above the state average.

But we need 100% to respond. If you haven’t done so already, please return the questionnaire you received in the mail, go to www.my2020census.gov, or call 844-330-2020.

If you don’t respond, in the coming weeks a census taker will visit your home. The census taker will wear a face mask and follow all applicable CDC and local public heath guidelines.

The census taker will carry an ID badge that includes their photograph, a US Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date. If you have any questions about whether a badge is authentic, you can call 212-882-7100.

Stand up and be counted—respond to the US Census today!

Thanks for listening, and stay safe, Hopewell Township.
