The inaugural Mayor’s Awards, which honor the heroic efforts of first responders across Hopewell Valley, were established by Hopewell Township Mayor Courtney Peters-Manning to recognize and publicly thank members of each division of First Responders who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty in their service to the community. The 2024 awards are set to be presented on Saturday, May 11, at 10:30am. The ceremony will take place at the grand opening of the newly constructed Bandshell at Woolsey Park, generously funded by grants secured by the New Jersey Legislative delegation from the 15th District, Senator Shirley Turner, Hopewell’s own Assemblyman Anthony Verrelli, and Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson. Following the awards presentation, Hopewell Township will host its first annual Cultural Festival.
The Mayor’s Awards seek to recognize the unwavering dedication and selfless service of individuals and organizations within Hopewell Valley’s first responder community. These brave men and women work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
