The Trenton Thunder stretched their winning streak to four games Thursday night, completing a home sweep of the Williamsport Crosscutters with a 9-2 victory at Trenton Thunder Ballpark.
After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first, the Thunder answered quickly. Jackson Van De Brake tied the game with his second home run of the season, a solo shot over the left-field wall. An inning later, a Williamsport throwing error and an RBI single from Donovan Cash put Trenton ahead 3-1.
The Thunder broke the game open in the fourth, taking advantage of another Crosscutters miscue before adding runs on a Jackson Tucker sacrifice fly, an RBI triple from Connor Maryniak, and a John Schroeder single. Maryniak extended his hitting streak to 12 games and later drove in another run in the eighth.
On the mound, Connor Hults (2-1) delivered six innings of one-run baseball, allowing three hits and lowering his ERA to 2.11.
With the win, Trenton improved to 13-13 and now heads to West Virginia for a three-game road series against the first-place Black Bears. The Thunder return home Tuesday, Aug. 19, for the final seven games of the 2025 season.
