by Community Contributor

The Pennington School recognized 18 senior student-athletes this week who have committed to continue playing their sports at colleges and universities in the fall of 2026.

The group includes athletes headed to NCAA Division I, II and III programs in football, soccer, rowing, field hockey, lacrosse, basketball and baseball.

Four seniors will continue their football careers at the Division I level: AJ Cartusciello of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, at Wagner College; Nisaiah Maldonado of Queensbury, New York, at Bryant University; Bryce Werner of Philadelphia at Lehigh University; and Bryce Williams of Venice, Florida, at the University at Buffalo.

Women’s soccer represents the largest group of commitments. Sara Chrnelich of Pennington will play Division I soccer at Georgetown University, while Elizabeth Holstein of Newtown, Pennsylvania, will play at Binghamton University. Ava Brochon of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, will continue at Thomas Jefferson University, and Nora Close of Pennington will play at Flagler College, both at the Division II level. Emma Normand of West Windsor will attend Union College, and Alexandra Van Arsdale of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, will attend Washington and Lee University, both for Division III soccer.

On the men’s soccer side, Colin Harkleroad of Columbus will play at Dickinson College, and Kyle Harvey of Lawrenceville will play at Drew University, both Division III programs.

Three seniors will continue rowing in college. Lolita Nechay of Titusville will row at St. Mary’s College of California, Sebastian Calderon Chubb of Maplewood will row at UC San Diego, and Becket Washburn of Princeton will continue at St. Joseph’s University.
