Cézanne: True to the Essence of His Subjects
Virtual program hosted by the Mercer County Library System

This virtual lecture, hosted by the Mercer County Library System, examines the life and legacy of Paul Cézanne (1839–1906), one of the most influential artists in the history of modern painting. From his early years in Aix-en-Provence and initial study of law to his lasting impact on generations of artists, Cézanne’s relationships, inspirations, and working methods offer fascinating insight into his art.
The program is presented by Jeanne Johnson, docent at the Princeton University Art Museum and Morven Museum and Gardens.
