Well House Windows Smashed on South Greenwood Avenue

On December 2, Officer Colin Brigham responded to a South Greenwood Avenue address in Hopewell Borough for a reported criminal mischief. The victim reported that a well house on the property was damaged between November 26 and 27. The well house’s windows had been broken, and rocks were found near the damage. The incident is under investigation.

Vacuum Dumped at Hopewell Valley Tennis Center Leads to Violation

On December 3, Officer Michael Enriquez responded to a report of illegal dumping involving the Hopewell Valley Tennis Center. The complainant reported that an individual left a vacuum cleaner on the center’s property. Surveillance footage showed the person driving onto the property, exiting their vehicle, and placing the vacuum cleaner on the premises before driving away. Using the footage, the individual was identified and contacted by Officer Enriquez, who requested its removal. When the subject refused, an ordinance violation for illegal dumping was issued on December 11.

Dryer Fire at Capital Health – Hopewell Campus Quickly Extinguished

On December 4, Sgt Mark Panzano and other units were dispatched to Capital Health – Hopewell Campus for a reported dryer fire near the loading dock. Upon arrival, the fire was confirmed to have been extinguished. The investigation determined the fire not to be suspicious. The damage was contained to the dryer itself. There were no injuries reported.

DUI Arrest on Nedsland Avenue After Report of Suspicious Vehicle

On December 7, Officer Marissa McCallum responded to Nedsland Avenue in Titusville for a reported suspicious vehicle that was reported to be parked partially in the roadway and was idling. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, who was still inside the vehicle. The Officer requested the driver step from the vehicle, at which point the driver showed signs of impairment. Field sobriety testing was conducted, and the driver was placed under arrest for DUI. He was transported to HTPD for processing and was later released. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Package Theft Reported on Denow Road; Suspect Captured on Video

On December 9, Officer Ryan Finnegan responded to a Denow Road address for a reported theft. The victim reported that a package containing two items was stolen from the vestibule on the property. The items were ordered from Macy’s were worth $33.40. Surveillance video was provided to the officer and follow-up efforts are being made.

Tools Stolen in Barn Burglary on Pennington Rocky Hill Road

On December 12, Officer Jonathan Pauciullo responded to a Pennington Rocky Hill address for a reported burglary. The victim reported that their barn was broken into by cutting the lock and approximately $3,627 worth of tools were stolen. The incident was believed to have occurred between 3:30pm December 11 and 11am December 12. The incident is under investigation.
