Still Life Stew Storytime at Morven

Vegetables can be a feast for the eyes and the tummy when they go from art to dinner! Helena Clare Pittman and Victoria Raymond’s picture book and Morven’s Masters of Illusion exhibition will inspire young artists as they hear the story read by Morven’s Curator of Education, view some pieces in the exhibition, and then create their own still life watercolor paintings. Children will take home their paintings and stew recipe.

New Jersey was home to many “firsts” in the history of the game of baseball and during the summer of 2018, Morven’s campers will be inspired to create a variety of artwork from posters to baseball cards to objects and artifacts including, perhaps, a recreation of a vintage game!
