From the towns: Courtney Peters-Manning encourages the public to attend upcoming meetings

by Community Contributor

Hopewell Township has released a video of Committee member Courtney Peters-Manning talking about upcoming events in April. The transcript of the video is as follows:

I am Hopewell Township Deputy Mayor Courtney Peters-Manning with an update from the Township Committee for the month of April.

Our final budget meeting is April 6 and then we will be introducing the budget at our regular meeting on April 19.

There is a meeting for the public to provide input on the new senior and community center on April 13 at 6pm.  Check the Hopewell Township website or social media channels for the zoom link. Please come with your ideas and suggestions.

Clean Communities Day is April 17. Check out the Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space website for instructions on how to sign up to earn money for your favorite local charity while cleaning up our shared community.

Finally, Earth Day is April 22, but here in the Hopewell Valley we are celebrating the inaugural Earth Week from April 18-24. Check out Mercer Me for a full schedule of activities.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather after a long winter. Please remember to continue to wear masks and social distance while out in public, regardless of your vaccination status. As vaccines become more and more widely available and more New Jerseyans are eligible, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So don’t let your guard down just yet. We are almost there!

Stay safe and healthy.
