Hopewell Township Election Results (FINAL)

[Updated to include all provisional ballot counts] In a heavily contested election in Hopewell Township, incumbents John Hart and Todd Brant… 

are facing a challenge from Democrats Kristin McLaughlin and Michael Ruger. With 12 of 12 districts reporting, MercerMe is reporting a possible split result, with John Hart leading the vote count, and newcomer McLaughlin edging out Republican Brant.

FINAL:  The totals including vote by mail ballots were:

• McLaughlin 4,880
• Hart 4,812
• Ruger 4,639
• Brant 4,519

The results would continue a split Republican/Democratic committee, with the Democrats picking up a seat and now holding a 4 – 1 majority.
