Mercer County Library sponsors voter information session
With a Presidential Election Year underway, join the Mercer County LIbrary – Lawrence Headquarters Branch for a presentation on Tuesday, May 21 at pm that will explain the three ways to vote in New Jersey, as well as the safeguards that are in place through our voting systems here in Mercer County. The presenters will be Mercer County Election Officials: County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello, Superintendent of Elections, Walker M. Worthy, Jr. and Board of Elections Chair Jill Moyer. They will review our voter registration process as well as the dates and locations for early voting and how to vote by mail. They will explain how these options will make it more convenient for voters to cast a vote and why it is safe to do so. Furthermore, the officials will demonstrate how to use the new Dominion touch screen voting machines and scanners that Mercer County now uses in all towns on Election Day.
Advanced registration is appreciated for all events. The Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System is located at 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ. For more information about the library’s programs call 609-883-8292, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.mcl.org.
