17th Annual Sourland Mountain Festival Returns on July 23!

by Community Contributor

The Sourland Mountain Festival, presented by Unionville Vineyards, returns with a powerful five and half-hour musical lineup on Saturday, July 23. The festival also features local vendors who will show and tell you about the history and wildlife of the mountain, plus a beautiful view (especially at sunset) of farming fields on the Sourland Mountain. Enjoy the best local food and beverages and visit our specialized craft and service vendors. The VIP Experience will be available from The Ryland Inn of Whitehouse Station.

Sourland Conservancy member and volunteer Suzanne Parsons, Chair of this year’s Festival, said, “This year’s festival will truly be a community celebration of everything the region has to offer!”

Children of all ages will enjoy meeting some of the local Cool Critters (such as alpacas, bees, turtles, snakes, and more), exploring hands-on activities at booths and learning about the legends and lore of the Sourland Mountains at History Lane. Adults will enjoy the best in local food, craft beer, award-winning wine and spirits, local artists and craft vendors and services.

The VIP Experience provided by The Ryland Inn returns this year. Local craft beers, wine and light snacks will be available throughout the day with a wonderful full buffet meal provided during the evening, using locally sourced and responsibly grown products, and prepared by renowned Executive Chef Chris Albrecht. VIP tickets must be purchased in advance and you must be 21 years of age or older. To learn more, visit www.SourlandMountainFest.com/vip-experience/

Teen and adult volunteers are needed before, during, and after the Fest. Volunteers receive free admission, a coveted volunteer T-shirt and refreshments. Volunteer registration will be open in early March at www.SourlandMountainFest.com/volunteer/.
