This weekend, Hopewell is buzzing with cultural events, from art exhibitions to live music. Here’s a roundup of what’s happening:

Robert Beck Solo Exhibition at Morpeth Contemporary

Morpeth Contemporary presents “Here And Now,” a solo exhibition featuring the latest paintings by acclaimed artist Robert Beck. Robert Beck, a pivotal figure and a leading voice in the Bucks County Art and Cultural Heritage, continues to explore the substance of contemporary life through his iconic and expressive oil paintings.  His narrative-driven pieces, capturing unique but ever-present moments, have garnered Beck solo exhibits at three major museums. This exhibition will run from September 14 to October 6, 2024, with opening receptions on September 13 and 14. Art enthusiasts are invited to explore Beck’s artistic journey through his evocative portrayals of life in locales like the Delaware Valley, New York City, and Maine.

Gallery 14 Members’ Exhibition of Fine Art Photography

Gallery 14 invites you to experience a diverse showcase of fine art photography in their Members’ Exhibition, from September 14 through September 29. The exhibition features works from 14 artists, each presenting their unique photographic styles, including landscapes, abstracts, and black-and-white photography. This exhibit will also be part of the Annual Hopewell Tour des Arts on September 28 and 29.

Music Mini-Series at the Old School Baptist Meetinghouse

Kick off fall with the first-ever Music Mini-Series at the Old School Baptist Meetinghouse. The series begins on Saturday, September 14, featuring Castle Lane, a band of local musicians playing rock, funk, soul, and blues. Doors open at 4:30 PM, and the show starts at 5pm. Enjoy complimentary light refreshments. All proceeds support the preservation and restoration of the historic Meetinghouse.
