The City of Trenton, in partnership with Cadwalader Park Alliance, Girls on the Run New Jersey
East, Trenton Central High School and Trenton Walks!, rescheduled their Celebration Color Run at the
Cadwalader Park Gully Field on August 20, at 6:00 pm. The run had been scheduled for last week but was postponed due to weather.
The color run represents the culmination of “Run For Fun!,” an eight week fun run and walk
series at the park that is open to all ages and paces. The series, which meets Wednesday evenings
near the corner of Cadwalader Drive and Stuyvesant Avenue, is part of an effort to support and
promote running and walking at Cadwalader Park, in the City of Trenton and beyond.
In partnership with Saucony, the footwear and apparel company, the Fleet Feet Princeton store
will also support the run with free t-shirts for the first 50 people, stickers, supplemental hydration
and other giveaways. Located on Nassau Street in Princeton, Fleet Feet is a community hub for
runners, walkers, and fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
The City of Trenton will also provide complimentary bottled water, a misting fan, and shaded
seating for participants. There will also be information on routes and distances to explore inside
Cadwalader Park, including the paved Outer Loop and the high school cross country course,
which will be open during the event.
The Celebration Color Run is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm, along with an open time for
running and walking, which will continue until 7:30 pm. The run is free and open to the public,
