And… they’re off! Fishing season starts today

The banks along the D&R feeder canal at Washington Crossing were jammed with fishermen on April 9, the opening day of New Jersey Trout season. Although the season officially started at 8am, fishermen were already staking out their spots as the first streaks of daylight hit Titusville. A deluge of rain around 9am deterred no one!

Wayne Topley of Pennington, had plenty of poles, but few fish to show for his opening day efforts.
