Dairy Day at Howell Living History Farm

Howell Living History Farm will hold its annual Dairy Day on Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors to the 130-acre working farm can meet milking goats, and help farmers make cheese, butter and ice cream. Activities will take place according to the following schedule: cheese making at 11 a.m., ice cream making at 1:30 p.m. and butter making throughout the day. Goat-milking demonstrations and bottle feeding baby goats will also take place throughout the day.

A craft program for children, “Cheese Box,” will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crafts take 20 minutes to complete and cost $3 each.

Howell Farm, a facility of the Mercer County Park Commission, is located on Valley Road in Hopewell Township, just off Route 29, two miles south of Lambertville. The GPS destination for the visitor center and barn is 70 Woodens Lane, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Parking and admission are free.
