Per the D&R Canal State Park
BE ADVISED:
The D&R Canal towpath is currently closed in the area of the Golden Nugget Flea Market in Hopewell Township near Firemen’s Eddy due to an emergency collapse of the canal embankment, which has undermined a portion of the towpath. The New Jersey Water Supply Authority is currently evaluating the damage and working towards a repair; however, a hard closure (i.e., no reroute available) will be in-place for the duration of the repair/construction activities. We would like to ask that the public avoid this section of the towpath during this time.
We thank our park users for their patience and cooperation while this section of the towpath is assessed and repaired.
