You may have noticed the electric vehicle (EV) chargers located at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building’s upper parking lot. They are now operational!
Electric vehicles can be seen on the road everywhere now. Concern about protecting the environment is contributing to the change. All-electric vehicles produce no tailpipe emissions, which is a major factor in air pollution. Cleaner cars mean cleaner air, and cleaner air benefits everyone’s health. The switch to electric vehicles is occurring rapidly, and chargers are in great demand. The Hopewell Township Committee is pleased to offer the chargers to our residents and visitors who have made the change.
“I am thrilled that our electric vehicle chargers are up and running,” says Hopewell Township Mayor Courtney Peters-Manning. “I hope that many Township residents and staff are able to take advantage of this new green infrastructure at the Township building.”
To use our EV chargers, you’ll need to download the Liberty Hydra app, which is available on both Apple and Android platforms. Enter our zip code (08560) or the word Hopewell in the search and our location will appear on the drop-down menu. The next step is to choose the length of time you want to charge. Lengths of time that are available are 20 minutes, 40 minutes, and 1, 2, and 4 hours. You pay by credit or debit card through the app. Finally, you input the charger number you are using. Wait roughly one minute for the request to process. And that’s it!
There are a total of five chargers available at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building, which is located at 201 Washington Crossing- Pennington Rd in Titusville.
