Guided Tree Walk Highlights Noteworthy Trees in Hopewell

by Community Contributor

Residents are invited to explore some of Hopewell’s most distinctive trees during a guided walk led by arborist Bill Flemer on April 25.

The event, titled “Noteworthy Trees in Hopewell,” will take participants through the former St. Michael’s Orphanage campus — now known as St. Michael’s Farm Preserve — where a mix of native and exotic trees planted generations ago have matured into impressive specimens.

During the walk, Flemer will discuss the characteristics of the trees and the history of the landscape, offering a closer look at a site many pass by but may not fully appreciate.

Event details:

  • Date: Saturday, April 25
  • Time: 9:00–11:00 a.m.
  • Location: St. Michael’s Farm Preserve
  • Meeting point: Parking lot on Princeton Avenue

The program is sponsored by Hopewell Borough’s Advisory Shade Tree Committee.
