The grounds of Hopewell Elementary School were filled with music, animals, games, local vendors and plenty of activity Saturday as the Hopewell Harvest Fair returned for its 38th year.
The annual fair drew families and neighbors from across the Hopewell Valley for a day that included live entertainment, children’s activities, animals, food and shopping from local vendors. Among the sights Saturday were young musicians performing on the fairgrounds, costumed dogs taking part in the Doggy Dress-Up and children getting an up-close look at rabbits, chickens and other animals.
The Sept. 19 fair continued a tradition that has been part of the community for more than three decades. Beyond bringing people together for a day each fall, the event also supports local organizations through the Hopewell Harvest Fair Community Grant Program.
Harvest Fair has distributed more than $234,000 in grants to dozens of local nonprofits over the years, with proceeds and support from the fair helping that work continue.
We were there Saturday to capture some of the people, animals, music and moments that made up this year’s fair.
