Hopewell PD statement on criminal sexual contact and trespass case

by Amie Rukenstein

On July 29, 2023 at approximately 9:30pm, officers responded to a residence on East Broad Street in Hopewell Borough for a trespassing complaint. The calling party reported an intoxicated male entered the home and left when confronted. Shortly thereafter, officers were dispatched to a Columbia Avenue residence for a similar incident. That complainant reported an intoxicated male approached the caller on the porch of the residence. The male made inappropriate contact with the victim and then fled the area.

Through the investigation, the individual was identified, arrested, and processed at headquarters. He was charged with Criminal Sexual Contact and Trespassing and detained at the Mercer County Correctional Center. The case will be heard in Superior Court.
