Hopewell Valley Veterans Association hosts ceremony to honor those who served (PHOTOS)

To honor all local veterans, the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association hosted their annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Woolsey Park on Saturday, November 9, 2019.

Annually, Veterans Day is Monday, November 11. Enacted in 1938 to honor the end of World War One, it originally was known as Armistice Day (WWI armistice was declared at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918). In 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all living veterans of American wars.
