Hopewell Valley’s Pipeline Meeting Date Set

by Mary Galioto

A pipeline may tunnel its way through Mercer County including portions of Hopewell Valley. As part of the process, Penneast, the pipeline company will be appearing at a series of public meetings to gauge public reactions, concerns and answer questions. PennEast representatives will be appearing at a special committee meeting on Tuesday September 23rd at 7PM at Hopewell Valley Regional High School. This date offers an interesting choice for Hopewell Elementary School (HES) parents who already expected to attend HES’s “Back to School Night” on the same evening at the same time. If you have an opinion or want to make sure you don’t miss a thing, make sure you go.

“We urge residents to attend this meeting and bring their questions. We are hoping for an informative and active discussion of the issues,” shared Hopewell Township Mayor Vanessa Sandom.

If you are like us, husband and I are splitting the duties (he’s being official noticed by the publication of article). One of us will be orienting himself to the new school year while the other gets a glimpse into the future of the landscape of Hopewell Valley should the pipeline proceed as planned.
