by Community Contributor

The Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education announced their new policy for in-person Board meetings this morning. It states:

“In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, P.L. 1975c 231, this is to advise that effective June 22, 2021, the Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education will hold public meetings at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom at the Board of Education Building – 425 S. Main Street, Pennington.

“The Board of Education meeting agenda, to the extent known, will be available prior to the meeting on the District website at www.hvrsd.org or may be requested from the Board secretary. These meetings will be open to the public except for closed sessions as permitted by the law. In order to attend in-person, the public will be required to follow all District enforced health and safety precautions including masks and social distancing. Space will be limited based on social distancing guidelines and room capacity. In addition, Board meetings will be live streamed to the public via the District’s YouTube channel. A recording of the meeting will also be available via the YouTube channel following the meeting.

“The Hopewell Valley Regional School District Board of Education welcomes and invites public comment. During the meeting, public comments will be accepted in-person only. There will not be an opportunity for those watching the live stream to comment.”
